Forum Rules

Please read the following rules carefully. Rules are to be followed at all times. By registering with BittyBaySide, you agree to follow each rule listed below. Please note that BittyBaySide reserves the right to modify or change any of the terms and conditions at any time, with little or no notice.

1) Accounts

Members are permitted to have one account per person. It is forbidden to create multiple accounts in order to bypass bans, infractions or any rule breaking linked to your account.

2) Age Restrictions

You must be at least 11 (eleven) years old before registering. If you are under 13 (thirteen), please ask a parent or guardian’s permission before signing up.

3) Vulgarity and Bullying

All members must be treated in a respectful and adult manner. All members should attempt to promote harmony within the community. Do not attempt to disrupt the community in any way. This includes posting messages that harass, insult, belittle, threaten or flame another member or guest.
If you see this happening anywhere on the forum, please report the post/message by pressing the report button and include a brief explanation as to why it is disruptive.

4) Offensive or Explicit Images

You must not post any images which are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, and/or otherwise violate any local or international laws. This includes links in your signature, profile, posted images, photos and avatars. BittyBaySide staff will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not.

Please note that this is a PG-13 rated site, and therefore, is suitable for all ages. Should you break this rule, you will be permanently removed from the site with little or no notice.

5) Staff Decisions

BittyBaySide staff have complete discretion over what is and is not acceptable on the forum. If you disagree with a decision made by a member of the Moderation team, please send a direct PM to Tiwtin. BittyBaySide staff reserve the right to remove any content they deem unacceptable with little or no warning. It is forbidden to undo any action performed by a Moderator.

6) Posting Etiquette
(Spam, Trolling & Bumping)

Please do not double post or cross-post the same message in multiple forums/threads. You must not mass-PM or mass-email multiple members of this site with the same message. You will not post for the sake of increasing your post count. BittyBaySide reserves the right to remove any and all posts or move said posts to appropriate forums.

Please do not post any topics that disrupt the peace and harmony of the community. Do not create meaningless threads with the sole purpose of starting a dispute. This includes messages in profiles and signatures.

Please do not repeatedly bump your threads to try and get attention. Most members of the site are not online 24 hours a day and so will not see your post the instant it is made. Do not bump a thread within 24 hours, and not more than twice a week.

7) Copyrighted Material

The spreading of any copyrighted material is strictly prohibited throughout the entire forum, without the expressed permission of the copyright holder, which must be attached to the material. Those found breaking this rule will face serious consequences.

No Trading & Self-Promotion

BittyBaySide is not a market place. (This does not include threads regarding BittyBay items/trades) Do not post messages/adverts anywhere that are primarily for the promotion and/or advertising of any website, forums, email addresses, businesses, MLM, business activities, or other entities that you have an affiliation with.

9) Personal Information

It is forbidden to reveal or ask for any personal information from anyone on the site. This includes, but is not limited to: last name, address, home phone, cell phone, email adress or instant messenger details. Do not reveal any contact information publically. Furthermore, you should not use IcyPlateau as an attempt to gain access to personally identifying information in any way.

If you wish to contact anyone online, please use the private messaging service to do so. Anybody found breaking this rule will be permanently removed from the site with little or no notice.

10) Linking

You should not link any unacceptable material in your posts, threads, signatures or avatars. Unacceptable information includes, but is not limited to: pornographic material, third party programs, illegal downloading or adware. Anybody found breaking this rule will be permanently removed from the site with little or no notice. Please do not link/discuss competing fansites anywhere on BittyBaySide.

11) Signatures and Avatars

It is common courtesy to keep your Avatars and Signatures to an acceptable size. All content in your Avatars/Signatures are included in the rules listed above. Moderators reserve the right to remove any Avatars/Signatures they deem unacceptable with little or no warning.

12) Privacy

Any and all information that is collected by BittyBaySide staff will be kept confidential. We will not share any of the information you have supplied with third parties. The information will not be displayed or visible to anyone but the administration team. If you have questions about this section, please send a direct PM to Tiwtin, who will try to reply as soon as possible.

13) Bans & Infractions

An infraction is a warning, but, has a point system included. If your account receives a predefined amount of points, you will be banned. If you disagree with an infraction you have received, and wish to appeal it, please send a direct PM to Tiwtin.

You will only be banned for a reason. Anyone caught making multiple accounts to bypass a ban will be dealt with accordingly.

Please note that we reserve the right to terminate your account if you have broken one of the above rules. You must comply with all of the T&C. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action. We reserve the right to terminate and/or ban any account and/or IP address, at any time, with little or no warning.

14) Do not break the Law

Legal action can taken against you by any victimized party if they so wish. Offenders may face legal action and account termination.

Disclaimer

All of the above rules are in effect everywhere in the community unless otherwise stated. This includes, but is not limited to: signatures, avatars, profiles, usernames, posts, threads and private messages.
